The Baltimore Ravens have been one of the most successful teams in the NFL since their beginning in 1996. Baltimore has been treated to quite a show. The Purple and Black got off to a rough start going 24-39 from 1996-1999. Then something magical occurred. Led by arguably the greatest defense of all time the Ravens went 12-4 and won the Super Bowl. It was the first of 11 winning seasons. Ravens football had found its identity. Driven by toughness and legendary defensive players like Ray Lewis, Ed Reed and Terrell Suggs, the Ravens would do some amazing things for the next decade.

Now the Ravens are trying to get back to their glory days after a season that saw just five wins. Number 52 and number 20 have hung up their cleats. It is a new era of Ravens football. In 2016 the Ravens will try to get back to their roots. They will attempt to find the smash mouth swagger that made them one of the toughest teams to beat in the NFL. The Ravens greatness isn’t lost. The team has its core foundation still in tact. John Harbaugh and Joe Flacco still lead the way. Terrell Suggs is coming back and knowing the kind of player he has always been, he’ll probably come back with a vengeance.

The 2015 Ravens may be the best 5-11 team anyone has ever seen. That doesn’t mean a heck of a lot. There are no moral victories in a season with 11 painful losses. Though the Ravens lost a ton of close games and were essentially dismembered by injuries. The Ravens toughness lives on. With that in mind let’s relive the top 10 plays in Ravens history.
