This is a player that I really like. Jefferson is a quick defensive tackle who can chase down quarterbacks. The biggest detriment to his draft stock is his size. But at 6’4″ 291 pounds, he can get the job done. The thing to remember here is that he has the ability to penetrate and make plays in the backfield. I think he is very versatile, if he is used as a guy who pins his ears back and rushes the passer. I think he is a project player, but he has good pass rush moves. That and his quickness allow him to get inside of the offensive lineman trying to block him. He is a great tackler. He ran a 4.95 second 40 yard dash at the NFL combine. If he loses weight he could be an outside rusher. If he gains weight he could be a bully as a defensive end in the Ravens defense. Either way he is a good player who has upside. In the fourth round, he may just be a diamond in the rough. . DT. Maryland. Quinton Jefferson. 5. player. 26
