#4 Overall: The Dallas Cowboys Select:

123.
The Cowboys could go a lot of different directions here, taking the electrifying Ezekiel Elliott or playmaking Myles Jack, but I think they really need to improve their pass rush. They simply couldn’t rush the quarterback effectively in 2015, and with DeMarcus Lawrence and Randy Gregory being suspended for the first four games, along with not resigning Greg Hardy (which I approve of) their pass rush is sorely lacking.

Bosa can set the edge, hard. He has extremely powerful hands and knows how to use them effectively to gain leverage against even the top offensive tackles. His bull rush and swipe moves are impressive, and can add a punch to the Cowboys’ front seven. He would be a good fit in Rob Marinelli’s 4-3 defense at left defensive end. He’s not a twitchy or explosive player, but he always gives 100% on every play and can be a 10 sack a year kind of guy.

A lot of people compare Bosa to J.J. Watt, but I just don’t see it. Watt is bigger and more explosive. Bosa can be a good edge setter and will be an instant starter, but comparing him to a 3-time DPOY isn’t fair. He reminds me more of Jared Allen, who was a terrific player for the Vikings and Bears. He doesn’t have explosive speed of the edge, but has the hand skills and pass rushing moves to succeed at the next level. Bosa has a high floor and a high ceiling, making him one of the safest picks in the draft.
. DE. Ohio State. Joey Bosa. 4. player
