The 2016 NFL Draft marks a rare occurrence for the Baltimore Ravens, a top ten pick.  The Ravens picking in the top ten is rarer than a Cleveland Browns playoff birth.  In 2008, the last time they were in the top ten, the Ravens traded the eighth overall pick to the Jaguars and moved down to take Joe Flacco at eighteen.  The last pick they made in the top ten resulted in Pro Bowler Terrell Suggs, and at sixth this year, it is the highest pick since taking Jamal Lewis in 2000.

Sixteen years later, the Ravens have a chance to take another running back high in the draft.  Running backs draft stock plummeted in recent years as first round busts like Trent Richardson, David Wilson, and Jahvid Best were out shined by second and third round stars like Le’Veon Bell, Chris Johnson, and Jamaal Charles.
