9. Adalius Thomas

Adalius Thomas was one of the most dynamic players the Ravens ever had. In his career Thomas played for the Ravens and the New England Patriots. He racked up 517 tackles, 53 sacks, seven interceptions and 15 forced fumbles. His best season in Baltimore was in the 2006, when he had 11 sacks, one interception and even scored a safety. From 2004-2006 was the peak of his career. In that time frame he had 28 sacks and four interceptions.

Rex Ryan called his defense with an enthusiasm of a little kid. Thomas was Ryan’s favorite action figure, because he could do anything. Thomas could cover, he could blitz and he could set the edge in run defense. Thomas was often used as a quarterback spy against mobile passers. The Ravens even lined him up at cornerback once, which to this day may be the most unique thing I have seen on the football field.

Thomas was an exciting player. His career may have ended with the Patriots, but he had his best years in Baltimore.
