There are times when a football season does not go as expected. Look at the 2015 Baltimore Ravens. Many analysts picked the Ravens to go to the Super Bowl; yet they did not make the playoffs. In the NFL anything can happen, and it is not always what you expect.

There are also times when things make a turn for the better. Remember in 2008, the Ravens were supposed to have a rebuilding year. With a rookie head coach and a rookie quarterback the Ravens shattered expectations, on the way to the AFC Championship Game.

In 2008, Flacco and Harbaugh changed everything. The franchise finally had a quarterback to believe in. Harbaugh gave the team a renewed focus and energy. Football is the ultimate team sport, yet one player can turn the tide.

The players on this list have a chance to change our entire outlook on the team. These are the players that we don’t know what to expect from. Here are 5 players who could ultimately change what we know about the Ravens.
