If the Ravens only learned one thing last season, it is the importance of Terrell Suggs. Seeing the mortality of number 55’s football career, the Ravens added a lot of pass rushers. They drafted Kamalei Correa, Bronson Kaufusi and Matt Judon. All three of these players can rush the passer from the outside linebacker spot. While none of them are Suggs level players, they all provide talented options for the Ravens on the edge of their defense.

The Ravens also drafted a defensive lineman from Michigan, in Willie Henry. Henry will go from being coached by one Harbaugh to the other Harbaugh with the Ravens. The Ravens got a great value with the 132nd overall pick; Henry can penetrate and is an excellent hand fighter. He wins the battle in the trenches with explosive ability and solid technique.

The Ravens invested four of their draft picks on the front seven. This is not a coincidence. The Ravens know that they have to find their outside linebackers of the future. For now the Ravens are hoping for dominant years from Suggs and Elvis Dumervil. They also are counting on continued growth from Za’Darius Smith, who had 5.5 sacks last season. One thing is for sure the Ravens added to their pass rush.
