5. Steve Smith Sr.

Steve Smith Sr. has reached legend of the game status. He is 39 receptions away from his 1,000th career reception. He has gained over 13,000 yards and has scored 76 touchdowns. This is Smith’s last season. This is his farewell tour, the curtain call on his electrifying career. He came back because he could not end his career on the lowly 2015 season. His team was 5-11 and he suffered a season ending injury. Smith Sr. is a legend no matter what happens, but try telling that to him.

Talking to NFL.com’s Judy Battista the veteran receiver said that the milestone of 1,000 catches is something he wants to reach. Smith Sr. seems calm, cool and collected but you know he’s burning up to get on the field again. Smith Sr. is the player that gives all he has, on every single play. He is as emotional of a receiver as anybody in the NFL. When he steps onto that football field, he will be determined to finish strong.

Smith Sr. probably does not care about his legacy. What I believe he wants is to prove it to himself.  Its about proving to himself that he can comeback from that injury. That he can put an exclamation point at the end of one of the greatest careers of all time. Everybody loves him, and every Raven will make sure his career ends on a great note.
