Ronnie Stanley Proves Himself Early And Often

There is no question, the Ravens opponents will test Ronnie Stanley early and often. He is a rookie who is pegged to be the left tackle. His responsibility is to protect Joe Flacco’s blind side. Stanley has to get the job done. If he does the Ravens could have a dominant offensive line and therefore a phenomenal offense.

When you look at the Ravens offensive line you see proven players. Marshall Yanda is as good as it gets. Rick Wagner is a great run blocker and holds his weight in pass protection. Jeremy Zuttah is a quality center. The only question is left tackle and I have John Urschel circled as the name to take that position. The Ravens offensive line is where everything is built upon. You know the drill. A powerful zone blocking scheme creates big plays on the ground. This sets up Joe Flacco’s cannon arm to make plays. In 2014, it became a well oiled machine. With a strong offensive line it can again.

That is the importance of Stanley being a stud muffin for the Ravens. He is a rookie. I am not expecting perfection. I’m actually quite concerned. But the Ravens are confident that he can do a solid job. If he does, it opens up the possibility of a great Ravens offense.
