The Defense Is Dominant

The Ravens defense is potentially a dominant one in the next season. Eric Weddle should improve the back-end of the Ravens defense. The front seven is loaded with talent. There really are no excuses for defensive coordinator Dean Pees. The defense should dominate and it absolutely has to.

Imagine Elvis Dumervil and Terrell Suggs starting where they left off, dominating off the edges. Imagine Weddle providing great range which leads to big plays. Imagine the defensive line stuffing the run game and collapsing the pocket on quarterbacks. Imagine C.J. Mosley and Kamalei Correa flying around making plays, stationed in the middle of the defense. The Ravens defense has every chance to be incredible. If the secondary holds up, there should be rejoicing when the other team has the ball. Big plays are coming to the Ravens defense.

So far we have talked about how a strong running game can allow the offense to put up big time production. Imagine if the defense is great too. This could be the most dominant Ravens team because it is potentially the most balanced.
