Ladies and gentlemen, I present the general. Ray Lewis was the only one who could be number one on this list. He is the only Ravens player to be ahead of Ogden on any list for that matter. Lewis means more to the Ravens organization than any player has ever meant to any team. He was the face of the franchise for 18 seasons. He was the leader of the team every step of the way.

When I think of Ray Lewis one play comes to mind. It was 4th & 2 and the San Diego Chargers needed the first down to stay alive, on their final drive. Phillip Rivers turned to hand Darren Sproles the football. At the very second that Sproles secured the hand-off, number 52 hammered him down to the ground. The Ravens won on the heart and determination, the preparation and football intellect and the instinctive quickness that made Ray Lewis the greatest of all time.

In 2008, the Dallas Cowboys almost lured Lewis away from Baltimore. But Lewis stayed where he belonged. When it was all said and done, he inspired his team to their second Super Bowl championship. Lewis was a career Ravens player, and now his statue stands tall outside M&T Bank Stadium.
