The Baltimore Ravens Are Known For Their Great Defense

While the Baltimore Ravens have not had a truly dominant defense since 2011, they will always be known as a defensive minded team. From 2000-2011 they were consistently one of the top defensive teams in the National Football League. Today we are going to honor the very best defensive units the Ravens ever had.

The Ravens have had some of the best players in NFL History star in their defensive lineup. Ray Lewis may be the greatest linebacker of all-time, he clearly is in the discussion. Ed Reed is arguably the greatest free safety of all time. Terrell Suggs, Haloti Ngata and Peter Boulware have all been special players.

The reason we’re doing the top 5 defenses is to point out the Ravens very best defenses. To be on this list, good is not good enough. These are great defenses that make Ravens fans proud. Most of the time I will countdown from five to one. But since we all know which defense is going to be number one, I’ll start with the cream of the crop.
