Cornerback:

1. Jimmy Smith:  Smith is a player to keep your eye on this season. For the first time in a while, Smith should be one hundred percent healthy. Smith also will benefit from having a leader in the secondary (who we’ll get to in a minute). In the division of Antonio Brown and A.J. Green, the purple and black need Smith to be elite. They need elite play from Smith, every game. It remains to be seen if he can deliver that.

Smith is a good cornerback. The Ravens need him to be great. Smith has the potential to take a step forward. The team really needs him to do it.

2. Shareece Wright: Wright was claimed off waivers last season and now he is poised to be a starter for the Ravens. That is a sentence that sounds concerning; however Wright grew up as the season progressed. He played some very good games for the Ravens. Now the Ravens secondary has a chance to be great. Wright is what the whole thing hinges on. We’ll see how this develops.
