3. Darren Waller:

Darren Waller was drafted last year in the 6th round by the Ravens and never really showed that the Ravens were wise for the investment. In October of 2015, he was played on the injured reserve, ending his season. Waller is 6 ft 6 and has a giant wingspan, making him a great potential red-zone threat, but he needs to show that he deserves a spot on the team.

Waller is suspended for the first four games of the season for violating the substance-abuse policy, which would seemingly hurt his chances of making the team. However it does free up the Ravens to keep him through the preseason and decide if they want to cut him before he would come back in week 5. All this means is that Waller has even more pressure to perform and earn himself a spot on the roster.

During the game last night, Waller was the most prolific Ravens pass-catcher with 48 yards on 5 catches. A few of the catches he made were impressive and should have made his coaches look twice. Waller did make one mistake on the night, tipping a pass and causing an interception. Waller is going to have to continue to impress this preseason if he wants to make the roster, especially on a team already filled with tight ends.
