4. Chris Carter:

Chris Carter has been a bit of a journeyman, with a preference for the AFC North, since he was drafted by the Steelers in 2011. After a 3-year stint in Pittsburgh, Carter played for the Colts and then the Cincinnati Bengals. Now that he’s on the Ravens, Carter has checked three of the four AFC North teams off his list. Maybe if he doesn’t make the cut the Browns will pick him up so he can complete the cycle.

So far, Carter has had an unimpressive career. He needs to impress this preseason because, as I’ve already said, the Ravens are rife with defensive lineman. Carter had a great game and put himself in a positive light. While his numbers weren’t spectacular, he ended the day with two tackles and half a sack, if you watch the tape you’ll see that Carter was a persistent headache for the Panther’s defensive line.

Carter was constantly beating offensive lineman, finding his way into the backfield, and forcing the quarterback to make bad passes. If Carter can continue to play at a high level he might have finally found his home in the AFC North. You know what they say, third time’s the charm.
