3. Bubbles About To Pop

The cold reality of roster cuts is creeping up on the 90 man roster. This is the way of NFL training camp. The preseason is the best chance for players to shine because it is in an actual game. That’s why an exhibition game is actually important.

Here is a list of players that need to step up this week:

  1. James Hurst: Hurst has struggled thus far in his NFL career. He needs to prove that he belongs on the team, that he can be trusted on the field. If he can’t hold his weight, he should not make the team.
  2. Keenan Reynolds: Reynolds is trying to make this team. The Ravens really want Reynolds to make the roster but he has to earn it. He did nothing last week. To be fair, he didn’t get many chances.
  3. Victor Ochi: Ochi has garnered more attention than most undrafted free agents do. He is incredibly talented but we need to see it on the field.
  4. Matt Elam: The fact that a 2013 first round pick is on this list says it all. Elam has done nothing but struggle as a Raven.
  5. Jeremy Butler: Butler is a player that looks comfortable in the game. You don’t want to cut a player like Butler, but there are only so many roster spots. He has to make it impossible for the Ravens to cut him.
