2. The Running Back Position Got Very Interesting

Terrance West might be the most impressive player the Ravens have had this season. West has rushed for 101 yards on 25 carries. He’s gotten in the end zone three times. Kenneth Dixon, who got hurt against the Lions has had 107 rushing yards on 22 carries. The two backs averaged 4.0 and 4.9 yards per carry respectively.

Justin Forsett got the benefit of rest as the incumbent starter. He had only seven carries this preseason and averaged only 1.6 yards. Buck Allen has also struggled to get it going, finding only 35 yards on 18 attempts. However, Allen has provided in the passing game with 7 receptions for 36 yards and a touchdown on a beautiful play.

So here’s the deal. The team has four running backs who can get the job done. All four should play a role in a running back by committee situation.
