5. Is Rex Ryan on the hot seat? How many games does he have to win to keep his job?

There are varying reports and opinions on this. In my opinion, his seat is just starting to warm but it is far from hot at the moment. Bills owner Terry Pegula is a very smart man and understands that continuity is needed in leadership positions within this franchise in order to achieve success. The teams that turnover coaches every few years tend to be the most poorly managed franchises in the league.

He will give Rex Ryan this year and next to prove that he is worthy of being the head coach of the franchise. The situation is fluid though and Rex could make his seat hotter by running his mouth and adding fuel to the fire like he always seems to do at some point during the season.

The other way the temperature of his seat could change quickly is with an extremely poor season where the team wins under six games. As long as Rex can keep his mouth somewhat quiet by his standards, and if the team doesn’t tank, he should still be around as their head coach next season even if they don’t make the playoffs.
