5. It’s Not The End Of The World… Yet

The Ravens are in a pretty good spot right now, despite their broken pride. They sit at 3-1 right now which is tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers for first place in the AFC North. They play Washington next week and you have to think that is a winnable game. Next the Ravens play the Giants and you have to think that is a winnable game.

At the beginning of the season I thought the Ravens needed to go 6-2 in the first half of the season and 5-3 in the second half of the season. If the Ravens win the next to games they will be 5-1 going into tough battles with the Jets and the Steelers. If they are a playoff worthy team, the Ravens will win one of these two battles. 6-2 is doable in the first half of the season.

That being said, it gets a lot harder when you play the way the Ravens are playing. The Ravens defense is still a well oiled machine. The offense is really putting this team in tough spots. The Ravens are not in trouble. They have positioned themselves well to be contenders. Now they have to improve on many things before they actually find themselves sinking out of the playoff picture.
