When the season started it looked like Terrance West was going to have a great season. Now that Marc Trestman is gone, he is about to go off against the New York Giants.

What if I told you, that the Baltimore Ravens are hiding the next superstar in the National Football League? Terrance West is capable of leading the Ravens offense out of Trestman’s abyss. With Marty Mornhinweg calling the shots, West will be asked to transform the offense. West will prove to be the most dynamic player on the Ravens offense.

The Ravens offense has ignored West and the running game. Last week the purple and  black passed almost 30 more times than they ran the ball. It makes no sense. When you can’t be stopped on the ground, take advantage of it.

A running back needs to get a commitment from his team. The Ravens cut Justin Forsett. They fired their offensive coordinator for not committing to the run. Baltimore knows what will get the team on the right track.

West has 65 carries this season for 327 yards and a touchdown. The former Towson star is averaging five yards per carry. Against the Washington Redskins he averaged 8.6 yards a carry. However he only got the ball 11 times. The Redskins had no answer for West and the Ravens rushing attack.

West has power, speed and determination. As a former walk on to the Towson program, he always has had a chip on his shoulder. It didn’t workout in Cleveland. It didn’t work out in Tennessee either. West is hungrier than any player on the Ravens team. He runs with an evident attitude, a swagger that’s hard to stop.

The Ravens have to lean on Terrance West. The have to allow him to be their next star running back. First there was Jamal Lewis, then there was Ray Rice. Forsett had his moment but it’s clearly West who has the chance to be a superstar. At the end of the day the Ravens need to stop hiding the next big thing in the NFL.
