5. Mike Wallace

I know, he dropped a few balls that absolutely made everyone cringe, but Mike Wallace stepped up in a big a way with Steve Smith Sr. getting hurt. Wallace came to the Ravens this off season after washing out of two teams who desperately needed playmakers. After the receiver needy Vikings released him, many thought his career was finished.

So far, the Wallace signing looks like a steal as he leads Baltimore in receiving yards and touchdown receptions. Currently, he paces to go over 1,000 yards receiving for the first time since 2011.  His stats nearly eclipse what he accomplished all season with the Vikings.

Given that he came in as an occasional deep play threat, he outplayed that role early in the season. The Baltimore Ravens must be pleasantly surprised with his production. Once Smith gets back into the lineup, deep shots to Wallace become a big cause for concern for any opposing defensive coordinator.
