Top 5 Baltimore Ravens Who Don’t Deserve Blame
1. Timmy Jernigan
I know the fumble during his fumble recovery is still fresh in everyone’s mind, but rest assured, he learned from his mistake.
Get that play out of your head and look at the body of work he has put together. He already tallied four sacks, 22 tackles, and two passes defended this season. Plus he has two quarterback hurries and two tackles for a loss.
Jernigan’s game continues to develop, and other teams need to game plan to keep him contained. Against the Jacksonville Jaguars earlier this season, he made play after play at the end of the game to help secure the win. It’s special to see a player take over a game the he did that day.
And that is what he has down all season. He gets down and does the dirty work for the defense, much of which goes unnoticed. At the snap, just watch the opposing offensive line get man handled into the backfield and you’ll find Jernigan.

Jernigan is a rare talent who can get after the passer and stuff the run. Pro Football Focus ranked him 10th against the run in the league for interior lineman prior to the Jets’ game. After getting four tackles and a sack, we can only assume that he jumps up a little higher. Imagine the damage he will do as the injured players return to the field.
