Monday Night Closes The Fantasy Football Week and Ravens Vs. Patriots could not be a bigger match up:

What players can you count on from a fantasy football perspective in this game? The Monday night battle between the Ravens and the Patriots is an important one for Baltimore.  The Ravens need to win this game in order to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Here are Baltimore Ravens and New England players that you should start and sit during their Week 14 match-up.

New England Patriots to sit vs the Ravens:

More from Ebony Bird

LeGarrette Bount:

The Ravens do really well against the run so I don’t expect Blount to have a monster game.  He might be able to get a touchdown if the Patriots get the ball inside the 5.  Other than that, he won’t have a big game.

Chris Hogan:

Hogan is used to making one or two big plays a game, but the Ravens defense isn’t known to give up big plays.  The Ravens defense should be able to keep Hogan in check all game with Tavon Young shadowing him.

New England Patriots to start vs the Ravens:

Julian Edelman:

Edelman is one of the players that does whatever it takes to get open.  He’s a Wes Welker type player that Tom Brady loves.

James White:

White is one of those backs that gives the Ravens run defense trouble.  You have to worry about him catching balls as well and he has speed to outrun linebackers.  If the Ravens want to stop White, they might need to have a linebacker spy on White all game long.

Baltimore Ravens to sit vs the Patriots:

Steve Smith Sr.:

Malcolm Butler will have the pleasure to shadow Smith all night and we all know how good Butler is.  Smith will get some receptions, but it will be small chunks of yards.

Terrance West:

West won’t be able to find any holes against the Patriots defense.  While West has had a good season so far, I would sit him this week.  He isn’t as elusive as Dixon is which will be a problem for him against a good Patriots defense.

Baltimore Ravens to start vs the Patriots:

Kenneth Dixon:

With the way Dixon has been playing lately, I expect him to have a great game against the Patriots.  His speed is a game changer.  He will be able to burst through some whole and get a lot of chunks of yards.

Dennis Pitta:

Pitta always seems to have a good game against New England.  While the Patriots corners will be focused on Steve Smith Sr and Mike Wallace, the middle of the field will be open for Pitta.  He will make an impact in this game to help the Ravens.
