4. Hitting Rock Bottom:

The Ravens lost to four games in a row. The four game losing streak felt an awful lot like the disaster that was 2015. It’s hard to win a division when you have a four game losing streak. The Steelers took a four game slide too, which shows how costly the Ravens hitting rock bottom was. Imagine how things would have been different if the Ravens won even two of those four games. If the purple and black would have just taken care of business, they would never have not been in the drivers seat.

Losing to the Oakland Raiders is almost forgivable. After all, the Raiders are a playoff team that has impressed all season long. The problem is that the Ravens easily could have won that game and they gave it away. The loss to the Giants is very similar. The Giants are a playoff team, but the Ravens could have beaten them. They gave up a 10-0 lead and everything.

The unforgivable losses were to the Washington Redskins and the New York Jets. The Redskins game was the most asinine thing I have ever seen. After Terrance West ran all over the Washington defense in the first quarter the Ravens abandoned the running game. The Redskins won the game 16-10. The defense dominated Washington, whose only scored one offensive touchdown. The offense wasted a great defensive effort. The Jets game was horrible. The Ravens looked as if they were sleep walking against a Jets team that only has four wins this season. The Ravens lost games they should not have and it counted against them in a big way.
