Vince Wilfork

If star lineman Brandon Williams leaves in free agency, the Ravens are going to have a major gap to fill. Williams was a typical Ozzie Newsome find, as played his college football at Southern Mississippi University and was overlooked by many teams. His departure would hurt the defense and they will be looking to find a replacement.

An interesting option could be defensive tackle Vince Wilfork. After having a storied career with the New England Patriots, he has spent the past two seasons with the Houston Texans. His size on the defensive line could easily fill the void. He is a massive body 325 pounds and gives opposing offensive lineman problems.

With the upside, it is best for the Ravens to stay away from Wilfork. After the Texans loss to the Patriots in the divisional playoff round, Wilfork hinted at a possible retirement. If he were to decide to play, he is at the age of 35 and would realistically have 1-2 years left. The Ravens would be better off finding a younger free agent to add on to the defense.
