Marshal Newhouse

If the Ravens are not able to bring back Rick Wagner in free agency, they will be in the search for a replacement. Marshall Newhouse could be the replacement if Wagner decides to leave.

Because of injuries, Newhouse only started in 6 of the 10 games that he played last season. When healthy, he is a good lineman. He has played the majority of his career as a right tackle, so he would slot right in next to Alex Lewis on the line. His experience playing on playoff teams like the Packers, Bengals, and Giants is a huge plus. The Giants signed Newhouse to a relatively cheap contract at 2 years, $3 million.

Even if the Ravens do not let Rick Wagner walk, it would still be smart to bring in another lineman. As we saw last season, injuries to the Raven’s offensive line hurt the team significantly. Having good back-ups is just as important as having good starters.
