3. The Match Up Favors The Falcons:

The Falcons have too much firepower for the Patriots to handle. The Patriots can try to take away Julio Jones but he’ll still make some plays. The extra attention to Jones opens up opportunities for players like Sanu and Gabriel. Freeman is another player they have to worry about. I think Malcolm Butler and Logan Ryan are very good cornerbacks, but they’re are going to need a lot of help in this game. I don’t think the Patriots have enough defensive backs to handle the Falcons arsenal of weapons for a full sixty minutes.

The Patriots have to get to Matt Ryan to have any chance in this game. Don’t expect the Patriots to pressure Ryan though. Ryan releases the football so quickly and the Falcons offensive line is very competent. There won’t be a ton of stops in this game for either team. I especially think the Patriots defense is in for a long day. The Falcons can attack every inch of the field and they set up their deep shots. The Falcons are going to make big plays in this game. The Patriots will too, but the Falcons clearly have more fire power.

I think Vic Beasely will have a lot of success in this game. The Falcons can get to Brady who is pretty much a stationary target. The Falcons are going to put up some big time points. The defense just needs to do enough to win the game. I think the Falcons rattle Brady with interior pass rush (Having Beasley stunt inside is a good idea) and will get one more stop than the Patriots.
