It is Valentines Day and there are plenty of reasons why we love the Baltimore Ravens

Valentines Day is either a great day for some, or a bad day for others. Regardless of your situation, there is no doubt that Baltimore Ravens fans love their football team.

For over 20 years, the Baltimore Ravens have brought two Super Bowls and many winning seasons to town. They united the city of Baltimore through tough times. The fans have stuck with the team for this long and will not continue to stop supporting the birds. Through the thick and the thin, they bleed purple and black.

The staff here at Ebony Bird thought it would be appropriate to give their reasons why they love the Baltimore Ravens.

Connor Brooks, Contributor:

There are so many reasons as to why I love the Ravens. My family are all Packers fans, but something about the Ravens just grabbed my attention. Ray Lewis’ emotion and heart into the game and Ed Reed’s unbelievable play making skills are just a few. But the one reason I fell in love with Baltimore because of Ozzie Newsome.

As an Alabama fan, I always knew who Ozzie Newsome was. When I found out he was apart of the organization, along with all of the Alabama players the Ravens have had gathered, I immediately knew it was my team. I love Terrell Suggs wild personality, Joe Flacco’s low key demeanor, and John Harbaugh’s class. But my love for Alabama also attracted me to Baltimore. The winning culture and fantastic people have made me proud to be a Raven for now and years to come.
