5. Safety

I think the safety position is definitely a need this offseason. Lardarius Webb has held his own much better than other players making the transition to the safety position. It has only been a one year since he made the transition, so the Ravens could ride out the final year of his contract and see how he fairs.

The rumors of adding Tony Jefferson in free agency are intriguing. He would ft perfectly into the Dean Pee’s defensive system. Pairing him with Weddle makes the Ravens defense elite.
Doing this would mean letting go of Lardarius Webb, which the team might not be willing to do.

Looking at the draft class, the safety position is very deep. Players like Malik Hooker and Jabrill Peppers could come in and be game changers.
