My first big NFL Mock Draft of the season is full of interesting picks and in depth analysis:

Every year, I do a mock draft or two with my best friend in the whole wide world, John Langley. We used to do Common Sense Football together, and even though we do different things now, the tradition continues. I thought the Ravens Flock would enjoy our NFL Mock Draft.

Here’s how we did it: We both constructed a big board which ranked a ton of players. We then took four divisions a piece to call the shots for. Being the nice guy that I am, I gave John the AFC North. He also had the NFC South, NFC East and the AFC East. I was the general manager of the AFC South, the AFC West, the NFC West and the NFC North.

We stayed as true to our big boards as possible, while filling the needs of the teams. Each pick was discussed, but was ultimately the call of that team’s fantasy general manager. There were a couple disagreements but we found that our boards were shockingly similar. When it comes to football, John and I are often on the same page.

Now let’s get into the results and the analysis. This is a two round mock draft, and it was a ton of fun to complete.

TAMU. Myles Garrett . 1. player. 53. This was a pretty easy pick for the Browns. They have the number one pick and they get the biggest difference maker on the board, Myles Garrett. The Browns best chance of turning their franchise around is to stop taking chances and go with sure bets like this. Garrett is a huge player with long arms and tons of explosive ability. In three years with Texas A&M, Garrett put up 31 sacks and 47 tackles for a loss. He also forced seven fumbles.. DE/OLB
