The Case for Wagner

The Ravens struggled on the offensive line last season. Injuries forced different line combinations to be used almost every week. Players like Marshal Yanda had to play out of position just to keep things in tact. When the line was struggling, the offense was struggling as a whole. Rick Wagner has been a player who has been one of the staples of the offensive line. When Michael Oher left in 2013, the Ravens stayed in house and went with Rick Wagner. Since then, the team has not looked back. Wagner has become a consistent starter on the offensive line. He has only missed two games in the last three seasons. Pro Football Focus has ranked him as one of the most under-the-radar players this offseason.

Wagner is a fantastic player and the last thing the Ravens want is another Kelechi Osemele situation. He has put in the work for the team and there is no doubt that they want to keep him around.  Keeping the offensive line in tact is going to be very important for the Ravens moving forward. They have been inconsistent on the offensive side of the ball in both the running and passing game.
