What if: The Ravens would have kept Justin Forsett?

The Ravens ended their relationship with Justin Forsett early into the 2016 season. After having a breakout year in 2014, Forsett missed six games in 2015 because of a broken arm. He struggled at the beginning of last season and it became clear that he was not going to be included in the offensive plan. In week four against the Oakland Raiders, he was a healthy scratch and the two sides mutually parted ways shortly after.

I think getting rid of Forsett was the right move for the Ravens. They did not run the ball very often last season, but having him as the main back would not have worked out. If he were to have stayed on the team, it most likely would have been him and Terrance West in the backfield. This would have taken away more time from Kenneth Dixon during his rookie season. As we saw, Dixon has a bright future ahead of him in the NFL. In the end it was time to move on from a veteran running back. At the age of 31 Forsett is in the last legs of his career. Going younger at the running back position was the right move
