Brandon Williams

Out of the three main free agents for the Ravens: Brandon Williams, Rick Wagner, and Kyle Juszczyk, I think Williams makes the most sense to bring back. I think Wagner is the most important, but his price tag is going to be very high. There are going to be a lot of competitive offers on the market. The Ravens were 5th in stopping the run last season and a good chunk of that came from the production of Williams. He is a ginormous nose tackle that demands a double team almost every play he is on the field.

According to beat writer Jeff Zrebiec, the Ravens are trying their best to keep Williams off the market, but there is no guarantee that will happen. The team did not use the franchise tag on him, but that was expected.

How much Williams will sign for depends on the market around him. Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Dontari Poe is set to test free agency, which could drive down William’s price. In the past, the Ravens have not been known to reach deep into their pockets to pay free agents, but signing Williams to a long term deal will definitely be worth it.
