Potential Cap Cuts:

Keep in mind these cuts are coming quick. The Ravens have until tomorrow to get the cuts done.

  • Kyle Arrington: When the Patriots let Arrington go it was a little surprising. Since he’s come to Baltimore it has become less surprising. The Ravens should have never signed him in the first place. He has done little to help the Ravens pass defense.
  • Dennis Pitta: Pitta may be my favorite tight end of all time. It’s impossible not to be a fan of him. He does have a big cap number and while he is dependable, he isn’t a big play-maker.
  • Kendrick Lewis:

This is another example of a signing the Ravens should have never made. The Ravens have missed a lot in the secondary over the past few years. Lewis hasn’t lived up to expectations. If he had, the Ravens wouldn’t have turned to Eric Weddle and Lardarius Webb to upgrade the safety positions.

    More from Ebony Bird

  • Ben Watson: Watson got hurt in the preseason. He was coming off a career year. His speed would have given the Ravens an extra element in the passing game but he could be a cap casualty. You can’t miss what you never had, right?
  • Elvis Dumervil: Dumervil came to Baltimore in 2013. He had one phenomenal year, his 17 sack showing in 2014. The problem is that he is an aging star who has been dealing with injuries. His contract just isn’t working, as much as we like him.
  • Lardarius Webb: At some point the Ravens have to move on at the free safety position. Webb’s contract is something the Ravens could look to be done with.
  • Shareece Wright: Wright showed some true promise at the end of the 2015 season. He also showed how misleading that was. Wright went backwards in 2016. He was one of the worst cornerbacks in team history.
