Potential Free Agent Targets:

  1. Brandon Marshall: To me, the Ravens have to put everything they have into signing Brandon Marshall. This is a star wide receiver who could bring life into the Ravens dormant offense. This is plan A. If the Ravens bring in Marshall it is an absolute game changer.
  2. Pierre Garcon: Garcon is the most practical receiver to go after. He’s not cheap but he’s way more affordable than Marshall or Pryor. Garcon is a guy that Flacco could lean on, which is something the Ravens don’t have at the wide receiver position.
  3. Terrelle Pryor: Pryor is the young flashy receiver that the Ravens have never had. Pryor is a quarterback turned receiver, so he only has one good season in the books. It was a really good season, with the Browns’ quarterbacks throwing him the football. Wow!
  4. Brandon Lafell: The Ravens are desperate at wide receiver. This would be a plan D at the position but it would at least be something.

Non Receiver Options:

  1. Tony Jefferson: This is a strong safety that could come in and pair perfectly with the versatile Eric Weddle. If the Ravens are focused on defense in free agency, this is the best option.
  2. Sam Shields: This is a veteran cornerback who would come in and compete with Tavon Young for the second cornerback spot. The worst case scenario here is that the Ravens have three good cornerbacks. I’m down with that.
  3. Jairus Byrd: Byrd used to be a play-maker. Now he still has some talent and he could turn things around in Baltimore. This is a low risk move that could help the secondary in a big way.
  4. Adrian Peterson: Peterson had a great 2015 season running the football. If there is any chance that this kind of production is still in him, it would be an exciting option for the Ravens.
  5. Jamaal Charles: Charles is a play-maker if he’s healthy. He’s injury prone but he is the most explosive running back available.
