3. Quarterback Still Needs To Be Addressed:

Multiple reports have come out saying that the Ravens are interested in Morris Claiborne. This would be a good signing. When Claiborne is on the field, he does good things. The problem is his injury history is more complicated that that of Jimmy Smith’s. Smith and Young are two good cornerbacks. If we go back to the perfect world again, Young is our nickel cornerback. The Ravens have two good corners, they just need two more. Young is more than capable of starting on the outside, but he’d be perfect defending the slot receiver.

The Ravens should bring in a veteran cornerback to be the number two guy. Claiborne is a really good option. Then they should add a promising cornerback in a great draft class for corners. It does not need to be a first round pick, especially if Ozzie Newsome pulls of a signing at the position. Two cornerbacks should be added to the mix though.

The Ravens biggest problem isn’t quality. When Smith is healthy, he is a really good cornerback. Young is one of the most underrated players the Ravens have. The biggest problem for the Ravens secondary is quantity. They need depth and they need a viable plan B, if and when Smith gets hurt.
