1. Tavon Young Is Poised To Star As The Nickel Cornerback:

Tavon Young is one of the bright spots from the Ravens 2016 season. He came in as a fourth round pick. He was just supposed to compete for the nickel cornerback job. Young ended up getting playing time as the Ravens number two corner. With the addition of Brandon Carr, the Ravens will move Young back to the nickel cornerback role.

I think this is where his strengths should shine. Young is a play-maker. If he came away with a few interceptions and a sack or two coming off the edge next season, it should not be a surprise. Young has cover skills that show on the outside. The Ravens now have three good cornerbacks and the perfect role for each of them.

If one of the Ravens top two cornerbacks gets hurt, Young will step up to the plate. Young on the outside isn’t a liability. It is also important to remember that he was a rookie in 2016. He is only getting better.
