Many people did not know about John Ross before the NFL Draft. Once he came to Indianapolis, he blew everyone away. Ross broke the 40 yard dash record with a blistering 4.22 time. Ross had a fantastic junior season with Washington, finishing with 1150 yards and 17 touchdowns. His speed is just one of his eye catching attributes. At just 5’11”, Ross is able to go up and get the football. His hands are a very underrated skill that helped him have a breakout season in 2016.

The Ravens do not necessarily need another speedy receiver, but Ross is a hard prospect to pass on. His speed gives him the ability to be a game changer. In Todd McShay’s latest mock draft, he has the Ravens taking Ross with the #16 pick. Ross reminds me of Tyreek Hill, who was an all purpose wide receiver. He did a lot of his damage returning punts and kickoffs. Every time he touched the ball, opposing defenses had to worry. The Ravens offense has really lacked an offensive play-maker and Ross is that difference.
