Nick Mangold

After trading Jeremy Zuttah the Ravens need a center/ Nick Mangold is one of the best free agents left on the market and would slot in nicely for the Ravens. He was released by the Jets when they cleaned out house at the beginning of free agency. Since being released he has been asked by teams to move to guard, but nothing came of it. This is the perfect opportunity for the Ravens to swoop in and sign him.

John Urschel is another potential option in house who has experience starting at center for the Ravens. He started seven games at center during the abysmal 2015 season. He struggled getting the ball to Joe Flacco so the Ravens might not be confident with him starting role. If Mangold is brought in, I am confident he could have 1-2 good years. After that he’s at the age of 35-36 and it is time to look at retirement. It is a short term solution to a long term problem but the Ravens are in win now mentality and the move makes sense.
