Free Agency: 3 Players The Baltimore Ravens Should Still Sign
By Joe Schiller
King Dunlap
The Ravens are in desperate need for a tackle to replace Rick Wagner. Free agent tackle King Dunlap is that replacement .With two former Charger’s players on the roster, the Ravens could have a chance to lure King Dunlap to Baltimore. Dunlap was released from the Chargers because he took up a good chunk of cap space. Former Chargers safety Eric Weddle sent out this tweet after hearing about the release:
Weddle is a very outspoken player, so tweet does not surprise me. I love the move and it isn’t the first time that he has helped recruit free agents to the Ravens.
The Ravens will look for a replacement in the draft, but it will take a very good rookie to plug in right away. Even Ronnie Stanley struggled in his first year on the line. Bringing in Dunlap would be an instant upgrade to the line. They do not call him King for nothing as he stands at a towering 6’9″. He would secure the right side of the line along with All-Pro guard Marshall Yanda. The only factor that could affect this move from is the money. Other teams with more cap space will be competing to sign Dunlap.
