Terrance West Is The #1 Back

As it sits right now, Terrance West and Danny Woodhead are the featured backs to begin next season. Second year back Kenneth Dixon will miss the first four games of the season because of a suspension. Harbaugh announced that West is the #1 back right now.  Behind West and Woodhead, there really isn’t much else. Lorenzo Tailaferro is considered to have a shot at the full back position and Buck Allen seems to have fallen out of favor with the offense.

Even though the Ravens run game ranked 28th in the league, it was not all on the backs. Marty Mornhinweg did not seem to want to run the ball and because of this, Joe Flacco threw the ball too many times. There are now three capable backs in the backfield. It is time for the Ravens to take advantage of it. West is the power back and the more downhill runner. Dixon and Woodhead provide more of a threat on the outside and in the pass game.
