In-House Options For Tackle And Center

There are two gaping holes on the offensive line: center and right tackle. There is a possibility the Ravens could bring in free agents, but if they wait until after the draft, they will be able to get two compensatory picks for next season. Harbaugh highlighted options on the roster to take over these positions. John Urschel and Ryan Jenson at center and Stephane Nembot and De’Ondre Wesley at tackle.

I like the idea of Urschel at center especially since he has the experience. He is one of the smartest players in the NFL and has the intelligence for the position. The right tackle is where it gets interest. Nembot and Wesley were both undrafted and we have not seen much or any of them. It will be an interesting position battle that will unfold once camp begins. James Hurst has experience playing tackle but he has been awful. I can’t see them feeling comfortable with him starting on the right side. There is also a very good chance the Ravens draft a lineman to help fill these holes.
