3 Plans To Fill The Void At Outside Linebacker

Using The 16th Pick:

The Ravens have three legitimate prospects they can target at the 16th pick if they want a pass rusher. It really depends on their preference. Haason Reddick is the 14th ranked player on my big board and the most polished option. Reddick is a sure thing who can do it all. Taco Charlton could be in play and he is a lengthy freak of nature who has the most upside in my opinion.

I see a Julius Peppers like player, but I think he can do it all on the edge. The third option is Charles Harris. Harris is a raw prospect who needs to work on his run defense, but his athletic ability is unquestionable. I think Harris could be a lot like Terrell Suggs and that excites me. There is no wrong answer here, these three options all are legitimate choices. It would come down to Ozzie Newsome and Eric DeCosta’s preference.

Tim Williams OLB (Alabama):

I think Tim Williams will fall into the second round. Williams is a productive pass rusher from Alabama, so you know he’s on Ozzie Newsome’s wish list. Williams has had 18.5 sacks in the past two seasons. He is an explosive pass rusher. The only thing I am not sold on is his frame. He has a lot of length but he’s pretty lean.

Tyus Bowser OLB (Houston):

The Ravens should be pretty interested in Tyus Bowser because I think everybody is. Bowser is an all around edge player. He like Reddick is NFL ready and a perfect match for the 3-4 defense. If Bowser is there in the second round it’s a steal for the purple and black.

It should be noted that there are a lot more than three options here at this position. Carl Lawson is another player I am very enthusiastic about. Derek Barnett is a player that is a real possibility at 16.
