#2: Injuries Are Piling Up

As is the case with many aging professional athletes, Terrell Suggs has had his fair share of injuries. He has torn both of his Achilles tendons and both of his biceps. These injuries have caused him to miss 24 games over the past five seasons, and the injuries have become more frequent in that time frame.

Suggs is one of the toughest Ravens ever, as he made it back from the 2012 Achilles tear in a little over five months, and he played through both of his biceps injuries.

Although this is impressive, Suggs’ production dipped down when he played through the injuries. He finished the ’12 season with just two sacks and 17 tackles in eight games. Before he tore his biceps in the Ravens’ week six games against the Giants last season, he had five sacks. After the injury, he had just three in nine games.
