#3: Ravens Need Talented, Young Pass Rushers

Terrell Suggs is the last remaining face of Ravens in a group that includes linebacker Ray Lewis, safety Ed Reed and nose tackle Haloti Ngata. While this provides Ravens fans with nostalgia, it is time to start preparing for the future.

Right now, the Ravens have some young pass rushers on the roster. In the past two drafts, they have selected Za’Darius Smith and Matthew Judon. Baltimore also has veteran Albert McClellan under contract.

At the State of the Ravens press conference a few months ago, Ravens owner Steve Biscioti, just as he does every year, said that the Ravens need to add more pass rushers. As the draft approaches, pass rusher is one of the positions that the Ravens are rumored to be addressing early.

Both Smith and Judon have shown flashes in their young careers, but the Ravens need to add another pass rusher in the draft this year. That player does not need to be the another Terrell Suggs, but adding him will begin the process of turning the page to the post-Suggs era.
