#4 – 2007 NFL Draft

Although the 2007 NFL Draft only produced three big contributors rather than four, these three players had a bigger impact.

In the 1st round the Ravens took G Ben Grubbs. Grubbs was a very good player for the Ravens. He was an upgrade on the offensive line and really solidified the unit. Grubbs got paid by the New Orleans Saints. Though he just missed out on the Super Bowl in 2012 he was a great addition to the team and showed off the Ravens’ talent evaluation.

Marshall Yanda Is Great:

The best pick of this draft, however, was also on the offensive line but came in the 3rd round. That pick was Marshal Yanda. It took Yanda 3 years to break out as a consistent starter, but since then he has started every game he played for the Ravens and has made 6 straight Pro Bowls. He’s also a 2x First-Team All-Pro and has perennially been one of the best offensive lineman in the NFL.

Le’Ron McClain was a pretty big part of the Ravens offense for several years. Though he was used largely as a full back, he led the team in rushing yards in 2008 with 902 rushing yards. He also added 10 touchdowns. In the rest of his time with the Ravens he cleared holes for Ray Rice and Willis McGahee very well.
