LeGarrette Blount could be an option for the Ravens this offseason, but is he a good fit?

The Baltimore Ravens are targeting a good amount of free agents, but there has been a surprising player linked to them. Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount is an unrestricted free agent and could be an options for the Ravens. He had the best season of his career last year, running for 1,161 yards and 18 touchdowns. It was good enough to help lead the Patriots to a Super Bowl win. But in typical Belichick fashion, the Patriots decided to move on from, even with the great production. Now Blount is left looking for a home.

Even with two young backs, the Ravens struggled to run the ball last season. They finished the season ranked 30th in total yards on the ground and 24th in average yards per carry. The front office brought in veteran Danny Woodhead, but they still need help. Dixon got knocked with a four game suspension to start the 2017 season. From all the moves this offseason, it’s clear that the Ravens want to get back to their old ways. Could this mean adding Blount? Let’s look at the pros and cons for it.
