2. Defensive End

When the New England Patriots signed ex-Raven Lawrence Guy early in free agency, the Ravens had a defensive end position open up on their roster. Baltimore lost another defensive end a few weeks later when they traded Timmy Jernigan to the Eagles. In response, the Ravens drafted Michigan defensive end Chris Wormley in the third round.

Analysis: Ravens roster spotlight: A look at the defensive line

Because the Ravens lost both of their starting defensive ends, Wormley will get a lot of reps in training camp. Competing with Wormley for those spots will be third-year player Brent Urban, and second-year man Bronson Kaufusi (who missed his rookie season with a broken ankle).

Because all three of these players are unproven, the Ravens will look to their big men in the middle of the d-line to help out. Brandon Williams is the clear starter, but Michael Pierce played well last season. The Ravens also have Willie Henry and Carl Davis, who are entering their second and third seasons, respectively.

The entire Ravens defense looks stacked for the 2017 season, but the youth all along the defensive line is definitely something to be excited about.
