Lorenzo Taliaferro

There’s a reason the Ravens have kept Lorenzo Taliaferro on the roster. He’s only seen 14 rushing attempts in the last two seasons, but should have a different role this season. With Kyle Juszczyk gone to the 49ers, Taliaferro slots in perfectly as a fullback.

Nick Boyle has also been mentioned as an option, but I think Taliaferro is the better at fullback. He had experience playing the position in college and it would make for an easy transition in the NFL. The Ravens have shown they like to use the fullback as more than just a blocker and this bodes well for Taliaferro. He had a decent rookie season when given opportunities and his 230 pound frame makes him a big body running and blocking in between the tackles. I’m not sure I trust Boyle holding on to the ball as a back. The timing of receiving a hand off its different from catching a pass.

The Ravens still have a lot of time to figure this one out, but don’t be surprised to see the former fullback back at his natural position this season.
