Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Marshal Yanda has been featured on the NFL Top 100 list

Every year, the NFL Network releases a list of the top 100 players of the previous season. The list is voted on by the players. A Baltimore Raven player had not made the list through the first 50 players, but we finally saw one last night. When players 50-41 were introduced last night, guard Marshal Yanda came in at #43.

Yanda moves back six spots from last year, but that does not take away from the kind of player he’s been. He’s been the highest ranking guard on the list in the past four years. As you watch the clip, you can see the respect that the rest of the league has for Yanda. Players talk about his physicality and versatility on the line.

Yanda has been one of the best offensive lineman in the league since he was drafted by the Ravens in 2007. Since then, he’s been a five time All-Pro and six time Pro-Bowler. Yanda has also been the longest tenured lineman on the team.

Last year the Ravens struggled on the offensive line with a number of injuries. Yanda played through a shoulder injury most of the season. He even switched from right to left guard for part of the season to allow his healthy shoulder to be on the inside.

Yanda’s stats aren’t going to show up on the score sheet at the end of the game. Offensive lineman never get the credit they deserve. With that being said, what Marshal Yanda does never goes unnoticed and Ravens fans love him for it. He’s been doing this for 10 years in the league and knows exactly how it works and never complains.
